Interior Upholstery and Window Dressings

When we come across a supplier that has impressed both ourselves and our clients, we are keen to pass it on. 

For this Perthshire project, and in addition to the design, supply and installation of the kitchen, Callum Walker worked on colour schemes for the room and fabric specification.  Having selected material from Abraham Moon & Sons for the finishing touches, we worked with County Fabrics based in Crook of Devon, who supplied the fabrics and made up the blinds and cushions. The finished result looks fantastic and are beautifully put together.

Top Selling Partner of Summer 2013

Billboard Advertising

Despite covering the whole of Scotland including the Shetland Islands, the sunny shores of Majorca and hustle and bustle of London with our projects, we are still a bit of a secret in our own home town of Perth. In turn we have embarked on an advertising adventure and taken out billboard advertising in the centre of town. I've never been so keen to be stuck in traffic! 

Studio Refurbishment Begins

We have exciting times ahead of us here at Callum Walker as the studio refurbishment begins in earnest. 

Of the 4 displays we are removing to make way for new designs, there is only one remaining so its full steam ahead to finalise the new layouts and finishes. 

The first of the sold displays was wrapped and collected to begin its new life in south east London on Friday, with other displays destined for Cornwall and St. Andrews.

Happy Retirement Gerry

Friday was a sad day at Callum Walker Interiors as we said goodbye to a valued member of the team, Gerry MacFarlane. 

Gerry has worked with Callum Walker Interiors for over 16 years, looking after the computer aided design side of the business. His technical knowledge, calm demeanour and good humour will be sorely missed. 

All the staff wish Gerry all of the very best for his retirement. Come and see us any time Gerry! 

Haus Beck 2013

An intrepid team of 3 are just back from our annual visit to Germany for the Haus Beck, an event which showcases all of the new designs and concepts which are being released by our German partner, Bauformat and its' sister company, Burger for the incoming year. 

Handless kitchens have featured strongly from both manufacturers with Burger launching their first handless option based on the experience of Bauformats' existing portfolio of products in this style, with the competitive price point we have come to expect from Burger.

The kitchen designs themselves were very much linear in style with the emphasis on width. Our maximum size now stands at 2m for a continuous panel , concealing multiple individual cabinets depending on design and client preference. In respect of cabinet fronts,  although high gloss still features strongly, doors in a matt finish were selected for many of the key displays with stunning results.

Our stand out item from the show was a new range of matt doors from Bauformat which now forms the Calais range in earth colours with a layered black and Steel effect edge. Placed as a price group 2 door, which positions it as one of Bauformats' most cost effective doors, we expect this to be one of our strongest products for the new year. More to follow...
